My Lowe’s Creative Ideas Blogger challenge this month was to create holiday decor using some items from Lowe’s. I came up with the idea to create DIY Oversized Ornaments using light globes, tuna cans, and eye hooks. Oh my!

There is something about Christmas that always makes me want to craft. Well, I want to craft all of the time, but Christmas REALLY makes me want to create. I also like to do simple, easy projects, and get the kids involved as well. This is one of those projects that everyone can be involved in, so today I am sharing with you the DIY Glitter Christmas Ornament.
Do you remember when you were a child and in school or at home and making fun little Christmas ornaments to go on the tree? I remember having so much fun doing these, and I want to keep that tradition alive.

Today I spent some time with the little ones building a popcorn wreath.  It was fun project but my little helpers ate more of the popcorn then they did actually placing the popcorn onto the wreath.  They soon decided playing with their toys was a little more interesting.  So while they played I continued with the wreath.  Of course, I got an occassional visit from the little ones as they grabbed a handful of poporn and then continued playing with their toys.  In the end, it was a fun little project and now we have a fun wreath hanging inside the house just in time for Christmas.

Even the smallest of dwellings requires a Christmas tree. This one is made from pretty Japanese papers in green, silver and gold and is very straightforward to make based on a simple folded fan shape. You could just as easily make yours from giftwrap, or go for an all white look for sophisticated elegance.
