DIY Baker’s Twine Votive and Container

I have one of the most satisfying decoupage crafts I’ve ever done for you – and probably the easiest. My friends, if you can wrap twine, then you can do this project. Beginning Mod Podgers take note, because this is the perfect way to get started with the magic glue. You can re-dress an old container (glass works, but you can probably use any container) by simply wrapping. Here’s another jar I decorated and then the fun little tutorial. You are going to love this easy craft!

Okay, actually I like drinking out of mason jars all the time…
But the drinks that I drink most in summertime…Arnold Palmers…cherry limeade…ice tea…lemonade…plain old H2O…look especially cute with a straw and in mason jars.

I thought a useful {and colorful!} way to keep my favorite summertime drinks cold would be to whip up some quick cozies.

If you can sew a straight line, you can make one!  I bet it won’t even take you longer than 20 minutes…

I am about to show you the easiest craft in the history of… ever.

I’m expecting a baby in a few weeks, and I’m at the point that “easiest ever” is exactly the right difficulty level for me!

(Okay, okay, that’s always the right difficulty level for me. Maybe you can relate?)

I think lace and whites are perfect for springtime, since they don’t compete with the greens and flowers that are starting to appear again.

Today we’re going to add white trim to repurposed jars to make something lovely.

These three craft projects all revolve around mason jars and are perfect for kids to create — with a little adult help. Make a cake, create a beautiful candle holder or grow a miniature garden oasis — all in simple, affordable mason jars.

I am in love with Ball Canning's Blue Mason Jars and the Shabby Chic Decor that is all over Pinterest. While running errands at one of my favorite stores, Target,  I found some blue Ball canning jars. Thinking of a way to incorporate them into my new decor, I came up with a super simple, yet cute idea.

I'm lucky because my mom is an amazing Floral Designer.
I got to accompany her to the flower market last week and pick out the flowers for our Thanksgiving dinner table.
I wanted to go for more vibrant and cheerful colors that were more unexpected than the usual Thanksgiving subdued neutrals.

Well my love of old Mason jars keeps on going.
As you know from my previous posts on my jar obsessions, I love me a good jar.
And I love being able to reuse pretty things!
Around Bloggyland, I had seen these soap dispensers, and thought they were so pretty, but just didn’t really know how I could make my own.  (Actually, it was more just that I didn’t feel like it.)
Then suddenly one day I felt inspired, so on the weekend my hubby bust out the drill, and a pretty Mason jar soap dispenser was born.
Isn’t she lovely?!

Does anyone else have an obsession with mason jars? I don't know what it is about them...but they are just so freakin' adorable. I suppose I imagine myself with a different life when I hold one.  I'm sitting on a porch, drinking sweet tea, and sitting in a rocking chair.

Okay, enough day dreaming. Let's just agree that mason jars are the bomb, and there are so many ways to incorporate them into your home.

Like perhaps for some unique bathroom storage...

These mason jar lights won’t blow out in the wind the way traditional bag luminaries will. The ones I made use washi tape to create the designs simply and easily. Washi tape is non-permanent so you can change out the design in a new season.

A couple weeks ago, I bought two small shelves at an antique store and I’ve been looking for something to set on them. I’ve got an abundance of mason jars laying around and of course some leftover burlap and lace from my Lamps on a String. So, I put the three together and made these babies! These would be cute for an outdoor event like a wedding reception; they’re romantic yet rustic. Or, you could use them as decoration on a table or shelf- like me! And, let me add, they are so easy. They probably took me 30 minutes total.
